According to Islamic belief, the construction of the Kaaba is divided into two main periods:

First Foundations (Prophet Adam): Historical sources and narrations show that the first foundations and structure of the Kaaba were built by Prophet Adam as the first house of worship established on earth.

Rebuilding and Upgrading (Prophet Abraham and Prophet Ishmael): Over time, the Kaaba was destroyed or its foundations were lost due to floods and natural events. As stated in the Holy Qur’an, it was Abraham and his son Ishmael who rebuilt and raised the Ka’bah on its existing foundations.

For this reason, the construction process of the Kaaba, which carries its architectural existence to the present day, is identified with the Prophet Abraham and the Prophet Ismail.
